Extended Coverage Sprinklers

Extended coverage fire sprinklers are designed to protect larger floor areas per sprinkler—typically up to 400 ft² (37.2 m2) or more—compared to the 225 ft² (21 m2) maximum of standard coverage sprinklers. An elevated spray trajectory ensures water reaches greater distances while maintaining effective fire control across the expanded coverage area. The deflector is specifically engineered to project the spray outward and upward more than in standard coverage models, allowing for the increased spacing. These sprinklers are commonly used in commercial spaces where aesthetics or structural design call for fewer sprinklers, reducing installation costs and ceiling clutter while still meeting protection goals. Both quick response and standard response versions are available.
