General Purpose Valves

General purpose fire protection valves manage water flow, direction, pressure, and system monitoring in sprinkler and suppression systems. Control valves (e.g., OS&Y or butterfly) allow manual isolation of system zones for maintenance or emergency shutdown and are typically supervised in the open position. Check valves permit one-way flow, preventing backflow that could contaminate the water supply or reduce system pressure. Pressure Regulating Valves (including pressure-reducing and pressure-control types) manage downstream pressure to prevent damage to system components or ensure proper operation at lower pressures, especially in high-rise or variable pressure systems. System trim valves are small ancillary valves used in alarm, drain, test, and vent arrangements. They support valve operation, water flow testing, and system maintenance. Collectively, these valves ensure proper system function, safety, and compliance with fire protection standards.
