Underground

Underground water supply piping, fittings, and devices for fire protection systems deliver water from the source to building fire service mains and hydrants. Two common materials are Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) and PVC pipe. CPVC and copper may also be used for underground fire service.  Connected components may include: Post Indicator Valves (PIVs), Fire Hydrants, and Detector Check Valves, among others.
