Field Services
Fire protection system field services encompass the full lifecycle of ensuring that sprinklers, standpipes, fire pumps, and associated control equipment perform as intended. Fabrication Services begin this process by transforming approved design documents into accurately prepared piping assemblies. These assemblies and related components needed for the project are then bundled and shipped to the jobsite.
Installation Services follow, assembling piping, valves, sprinklers, pumps, and detection interfaces in accordance with governing codes and project specifications. Proper alignment, support, and component orientation are critical to preserving design intent. Start-Up and Commissioning then verify system performance under flow and alarm conditions, confirming pump output, valve operation, supervisory functions, and alarm transmission.
Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) sustain long-term reliability. Routine inspections confirm valve positions, test waterflow and supervisory devices, exercise pumps, and identify impairments before failure occurs.
An Incident Investigation following an unexplained system operation or product failure is essential to determine whether the fire protection system performed as intended or if impairments, installation errors, or component defects contributed to the outcome. A structured evaluation of physical evidence, system records, water supply data, and activation patterns helps distinguish between proper operation, accidental discharge, or mechanical failure. The findings protect stakeholders by establishing technical facts, guiding corrective actions, and preventing recurrence. Thorough investigation also supports accountability, product improvement, and long-term system reliability.
