Nozzles
Fire protection special hazard nozzles are used in water spray and fixed water spray systems to protect high-risk equipment and areas where conventional sprinklers are ineffective. Open nozzles remain continuously open (no heat-sensitive element) and discharge water simultaneously when activated by a deluge valve. These systems are designed to cool surfaces, control vapors, or extinguish fires on hazards such as transformers, conveyors, flammable liquid storage, and turbine enclosures. The spray pattern, droplet size, and discharge density are tailored to the specific hazard.
