SYSTEM VALVES ACCESSORIES

Fire protection system valve accessories are critical components that enhance the operation, reliability, and control of system valves across wet, dry, deluge, and preaction systems. Their primary function is to support detection, actuation, monitoring, and alarm transmission, ensuring systems respond quickly and accurately to fire conditions.

Electric solenoid valves are used in deluge and preaction systems to release priming water or air upon signal from a detection system, enabling rapid valve opening. Dry pilot (pneumatic) actuators provide an alternative or redundant release method, using air pressure loss—often from heat-sensitive devices—to trip deluge or preaction valves, and are also applied to control dry pipe valves. Accelerators in dry pipe systems reduce valve trip time by rapidly venting air, allowing water to reach the fire more quickly.

Water motor alarms provide a mechanical, water-driven audible signal upon system activation, independent of electrical power. Emergency pull stations allow manual initiation of deluge or preaction systems where immediate discharge is required. Retarding chambers, used with wet alarm valves, minimize false alarms caused by pressure surges. Miscellaneous trim components—such as gauges, check valves, strainers, and pressure switches—ensure proper air and water pressure monitoring, flow, filtration, and supervisory signaling. Together, these accessories enable coordinated, dependable system performance.
